PKU Pioneer Built Largest Industrial VPSA Oxygen Plant at the Highest Altitude in China
In July 2021, the VPSA oxygen plant (4100Nm3/h 93%) constructed by PKU Pioneer for a metallurgical plant was successfully put into operation. The equipment is built on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at an altitude of 2800m, providing stable & high-quality enriched oxygen for non-ferrous metallurgy under cold and oxygen-deficient conditions to improve the smelting efficiency and increase the output of lead, zinc and other non-ferrous metals. The oxygen supply cost has been greatly cut down with the comprehensive power consumption as low as 0.37kWh/Nm3 (100% oxygen). It is currently the largest industrial VPSA oxygen plant at the highest altitude in China.
The oxygen generating equipment was built to supply enriched oxygen for nonferrous metal smelting. All design indicators were successfully achieved even under harsh conditions and enormous economic benefits will be created, thus helping to save energy and reduce emissions for process optimization in the long run.
