Retrofit of Legacy VPSA Equipment — Capacity Upgrade
A retrofit solution for aging VPSA oxygen systems designed to restore performance and increase production capacity without full equipment replacement. Through core component upgrades and system optimization, it improves efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and extends equipment service life at significantly lower investment cost.

Pain Points of the Demand
Aging VPSA equipment suffers from declining output, rising energy consumption, frequent faults, and below-spec purity. Full replacement is costly, so clients seek retrofit to enhance capacity, optimize performance, and extend service life.

End-to-End Solution
Scheme Design
Comprehensive inspection of existing equipment identifies aging and performance gaps (adsorber seal defects, adsorbent pulverization, valve wear, suboptimal control logic). Customized retrofit plans include adsorber structural modification, adsorbent upgrade (to high-efficiency lithium-based type), valve replacement (suited to high-frequency PSA switching), and control system optimization — targeting 10%+ capacity increase and 20%+ energy reduction, meeting or exceeding new-equipment standards.
Project Installation Guidance
Senior retrofit engineers VPSA supervise dismantling, component replacement, and system commissioning, rigorously controlling process and quality.
Construction
Flexible schedules avoid production peaks, with phased retrofit (e.g., one train at a time) to maintain oxygen supply. At Zhuhai Yuefengyuan, 4 trains were phased-retrofitted, with partial completion and successful one-shot startup within two months.
Acceptance and Delivery
Capacity, purity, energy consumption, and stability are fully verified against retrofit targets, with operator training and retrofit documentation provided.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Post-retrofit warranty service with scheduled inspection and parameter optimization maintains long-term effectiveness, plus long-term O&M including spare parts, adsorbent replacement, and troubleshooting.
