Pain Points of the Demand
The new factory has no existing oxygen production facilities and needs to build an oxygen production system from scratch. This presents challenges such as complex design, long construction period, difficulty in equipment selection, and lack of guarantee for subsequent operation and maintenance. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that the oxygen production system is implemented synchronously and seamlessly integrated with the factory’s production process.

End-to-End Solution
Scheme Design
In the early stages, a thorough VPSA investigation was conducted at the factory to assess its production scale, oxygen demand (production volume, purity, pressure), site layout, environmental requirements, and future capacity planning. Based on industry standards and the experience of over 400 projects by Peking University Pioneer, a one-stop VPSA oxygen production station design scheme was developed, covering equipment selection, process routes, site layout, pipeline laying, and electrical configuration. Simultaneously, the design scheme was optimized to reduce investment costs and subsequent energy consumption. For example, in the Changjiang Steel’s new oxygen production station project, a VPSA oxygen production scheme with a total output of 12,500 Nm³/h and a purity of 80% was designed based on the factory’s blast furnace oxygen enrichment requirements. A pre-machine oxygen enrichment route was adopted to maximize investment savings and generate benefits.
Project Installation Guidance
A dedicated installation guidance team was established to provide VPSA guidance throughout the construction process. Key aspects such as equipment hoisting, pipeline welding, and electrical wiring were controlled to ensure that the installation quality met standards. The team also coordinated the connection between equipment delivery, transportation, and installation to avoid delays in the construction period.
Construction
Provide integrated construction services, develop detailed construction schedules, scientifically arrange civil engineering, equipment installation, pipeline laying, commissioning, and other processes, strictly adhere to safety construction regulations, and adopt efficient construction techniques to ensure that the oxygen plant construction is completed simultaneously with the main factory project. For example, the Yangtze River Steel project completed construction in just over two months, achieving rapid implementation.
Acceptance and Delivery
Conduct multi-dimensional acceptance in accordance with relevant national standards and agreements between both parties, including equipment performance, installation quality, safety facilities, and environmental protection indicators. Provide complete technical data and acceptance reports, and provide comprehensive training to factory operators and maintenance personnel (including equipment operation, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance) to ensure the factory can independently operate the oxygen plant. Upon successful acceptance, the plant will be officially delivered to ensure smooth factory production.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Provide long-term operation and maintenance services, conduct regular VPSA inspections and maintenance, promptly identify potential equipment hazards, provide spare parts supply and adsorbent replacement services, establish dedicated operation and maintenance files, ensure the long-term stable operation of the oxygen plant, provide continuous and stable oxygen supply for factory production, and provide capacity upgrade services according to the factory’s capacity expansion needs.
