L'\u00e9quipement est construit sur le plateau Qinghai-Tibet \u00e0 une altitude de 2800 m, fournissant de l'oxyg\u00e8ne enrichi stable et de haute qualit\u00e9 pour la m\u00e9tallurgie non ferreuse dans des conditions froides et pauvres en oxyg\u00e8ne afin d'am\u00e9liorer l'efficacit\u00e9 de la fusion et d'augmenter la production de plomb, de zinc et d'autres m\u00e9taux non ferreux. Le co\u00fbt de l'approvisionnement en oxyg\u00e8ne a \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9rablement r\u00e9duit avec une consommation \u00e9lectrique globale aussi basse que 0,37 kWh\/Nm<sup>3<\/sup> (oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e0 100%).
